Call for Nominations
Nominations are called for the positions of Captain(s), coaches and shooters to compete as the Tasmanian State Team in the National Match Rifle and F Class Long Range Teams matches, scheduled for Coonabarabran, NSW, 2-6 October 2018.
Nominations are also called for an unofficial FTR State Team to compete in the above matches. This is a trial event.
Nominations close with the Secretary Saturday 17 March 2018. Nominations can be emailed or posted.

Tasmanian Match Rifle State Team - Call for Nominations
Nominations are called for Captain, Coaches, and shooters for the Tasmanian State Match Rifle Team and the Tasmanian State Long Range F Class Team to compete in the National Teams Championships, Stawell, Victoria, 13th and 14th November, 2017.
The Match Rifle Team comprises 4-6 persons including Captain and Coach. The Long Range F Class (Open) Team comprises 3-5 persons including Captain and Coach. Ranges shot are 1,000, 1,100 and 1,200 yards.

The applicant has to be a financial member of a Rifle Club affiliated to the Tasmanian Rifle Association prior to submitting this form through his/her Club Secretary/Club Captain.
Electronic Targets Demonstration on 3 December 2016
A demonstration of the Silver Mountain Electronic Target system is scheduled for Saturday 3 December at Campbell Town. Setup demonstration in the morning and a shooting practice on the targets in the afternoon, short and long range.
Start time in the morning approx. 10.00am. at the TRA HQ building.
If you are interested in electronic targets for your Club/range put the date in your diary along with all the questions you have about these systems.
New Standard Shooting Rules (version 5.0 (c)) as at 1 November 2016
There have only been 2 small changes.
- The removal of the “Blow-Off” shots rule. (2 rules affected)
- A small change to Rule 16.1.3 affirming that Muzzle Brakes are not allowed in any competition.
2017 Tasmanian Queen's Prize Meeting – Call for Entry
Please note that a late entry fee of $25 will be charged for the Queen's Series entries received after 8 March 2017. Your early entry will be much appreciated for our planning for target markers and catering.
